How to Order

Normally, the Southern Steel 1017 Spring lock should not require adjustments after being properly installed. Maintenance tips for all Southern Steel locks is provided in the General Maintenance Guidelines. Review these guidelines before attempting to trouble shoot the 1017.

The 1017 Spring Lock is virtually maintenance free once properly installed.  If the lock jambs (key will not retract lock bolt) remove lock cover plate and inspect tumblers. If necessary, the tumblers and all moving parts may be lubricated with a Teflon-based spray lubricant. Do not excessively lubricate.
